Military Dog Show

Here are a few photos from last night’s military dog show.

Doha, Qatar

We were limited outside the base in Qatar, so here are just a few photographs I snapped during my travels in the city of Doha.

This is the first floor of the five story City Center Mall.
They had a different style of presentation in their grocery stores.
They really like their hookahs.
This was just an everyday customer in a store. He was very nice.
This guy was a jewelry salesman. He was so funny!
They didn’t have what I was looking for… so they presented me with more options!
Beautiful city, horrible drivers.
These shoes were $1,700! I love my wife… but $1,700?!
More hookahs…
This was the beautiful exit to the mall. Very nice.

R&R in Doha, Qatar

These are just a few photos of the Villaggio Mall in Doha, Qatar.

This is 850 Qatari Riyal, which is only $232.88!
This was blocking a construction part of the mall. It’s about 50 feet tall.
This guy was hilarious. He saw my camera and came up to me to tell me his friends tell him that he’s photogenic. I agreed with him and started taking photos of him. He needed zero direction. The people here are so nice!
This was my wife’s salad. It looked delicious.
This was my meal. It was so good. The hospitality was fantastic!
This was painted on the ceiling throughout the mall.
I’ll have photos of the city life soon!

The Iraqi Heat

This is just the beginning! It’s been much hotter than this, but we haven’t had such a consistent heat wave. It hasn’t rained since February and August is the “hot” month. Anyway, you didn’t come to Divinofoto for a weather forecast; you came for the photos. Well, I want everyone to know that I’ve recently purchased some great, new, top-of-the-line equipment and I’ll now be able to bring you better and better photos, very soon. Once I return to the States, I’ll be able to serve my people again. But, right now, I’m serving my country over here in Iraq. I’m going to Rome, Italy later this fall and I’m sure I’ll have plenty of content for you then. Until then, I’ll try to keep you as entertained as I can from the desert. Stay tuned for a “What’s in my gear bag” post. I’ll update once my 2 new lenses get over here. Here’s a hint: f/1.2L.

Stay tuned…
